Join us for Sábado Familiar with Beatrice Capote, the talented Cuban-American dancer from Camille A. Brown & Dancers (CABD)! Learn the fundamentals of Afro Cuban dance, including Rumba, Orishas and Macuta through an interactive dance workshop. Bring your scarves to the workshop. All ages welcomed!
About Beatrice Capote
Beatrice Capote is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher, and a part of CABD, a Bessie Award-winning, NYC-based dance company advancing the artistic vision of Camille A. Brown, a Black female choreographer, who is reclaiming the cultural narratives of African American identity. In addition to her work with the dance company, Capote is currently faculty at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, Adjunct Professor at Montclair State University, and Joffrey Ballet School.
