Hola Coquís! El Museo is excited to bring Coquí Club, our bilingual program for our tiniest visitors, into your casita. Coqui Club Is a live interactive program facilitated by our museum educators and includes storytelling, discussion, and an art-making project. Be sure to bring your Coqui crowns and get ready to have fun! Recommended for children ages 1-5.
Join us on this Tuesday session when we will explore what it is like to feel new or different at school. We will read Isabel and Her Colores Go To School by Alexandra Alessandri and Courtney Dawson, a story about a young Afro-Latinx girl who has recently migrated to the United States and struggles speaking English. Isabel learns there is more than one way to communicate with new friends! We will also discuss a related historical photograph from El Museo’s current exhibition En Foco: The New York Puerto Rican Experience.
FREE ADMISSION via Zoom Live | To RSVP, click here.
(Instructions to log on will be sent via email to registrants prior to the event).
This program is a part of El Museo en Tu Casa, our bilingual digital initiative encouraging visitors to explore and learn about Latino art and culture.
