El Museo del Barrio is delighted to present the 43rd Annual Three Kings Day Parade and Celebration titled Nuestros Barrios Unidos: Celebrating our Collective Strength, honoring New York City’s immigrant and migrant communities of past and present. United by our collective experience, we pay homage to those that continue to keep our history alive by celebrating the cultural traditions of El Barrio and beyond. Join us on this joyous day of camels (live), colorful puppets, parrandas, music and dancing!

PARADE SCHEDULE

11:00am–12:30pm, El Barrio
Parade begins at 106th St and Park Ave and ends at 115th St and Park Ave featuring live music by BombaYoAnnette Aguilar & the Stringbeans, Wabafu Garifuna Dance Theater and more. El desfile comienza en la calle 106 y Park Ave y termina en la calle 115 y Lexington Ave con música en vivo por BombaYo, Annette Aguilar & the Stringbeans,Wabafu Garifuna Dance Theater y más.

1:00pm–2:00pm, El Museo
The festivities continue at El Museo with live musical performance by Los Pleneros de la 21, and free admission to Las Galerías. La celebración continúa en El Museo con un espectaculo de música en vivo por Los Pleneros de la 21, y entrada gratuita a Las Galerías.

The Three Kings Day Parade brings the spirit of the holidays to El Barrio, as thousands of children, parents, teachers, artists, residents, and political and community leaders march together through the neighborhood. El Desfile del Día de los Tres Reyes trae el espíritu de las fiestas a El Barrio con miles de niños, padres, profesores/maestros, artistas, vecinos, y líderes políticos y comunitarios.

WE NEED YOUR HELP | NECESITAMOS TU AYUDA
Volunteers will help lead school groups and families through the parade route, distribute programs and noisemakers to spectators, represent community organizations and sponsors, and add to the jubilance of the festivities while playing maracas. Voluntarios asistirán con llevar las familias y los grupos escolares a través de la ruta de la parada, distribuir programas y matracas a los espectadores, representar organizaciones y patrocinadores de la comunidad, y añadir al júbilo de las festividades mientras tocan las maracas.

LEARN MORE ABOUT THREE KINGS DAY | APRENDE MÁS SOBRE LOS TRES REYES
Learn about the Taino and Caribbean influences embedded through the traditions of this celebration. Explore the way in which El Barrio’s community has shaped the celebration of this holiday in New York City. Visitors will delve into the stories, music and visual art of the holiday and explore the origin of our fantastic 14-foot puppets and stop motion animation which tells the story of the holiday’s tradition in El Barrio.
