To celebrate the final week of Taller Boricua – A Political Printshop in New York join El Museo for a conversation about U.S. Latinx graphic arts and activism across the country. Participants include Taller Boricua’s founder and Executive Director, Marcos Dimas, Director of Artistic Programs and Education at Self Help Graphics & Art, Marvella Muro, and New York-based artist, Miguel Luciano. The talk will be centered on the intersection of artistic and political practices both historically and today and will be moderated by the exhibition curator and El Museo del Barrio’s chief curator, Rodrigo Moura.
In conjunction with this show, El Museo del Barrio has launched a new virtual presentation of the exhibition that will extend the reach of this landmark show, which marks the 50th anniversary of the East Harlem-based collective studio and alternative space.
