Ponte Ready presents Minerva Arias, founder of Roots Healing! Join us for an hour-long yoga class aligning the physical form through the sounds of music, creative vinyasa and breath awareness. Minerva will provide cues throughout the class to ensure that folks are able to meet their bodies where they are in that moment. Program is suitable for bodies that can stand, move and bend their legs and arms and flow between sitting and standing. All ages welcome!

About Minerva Arias
Minerva Arias is a queer Afro-Latina femme that loves to create and hold space for holistic healing designed to get us free and break the internalized chains, both individually and collectively. Her experiences as a priestess in her ancestral practice of Ifa and her explorations of the psychology of yoga, the philosophy of meditation and the science of Ayurveda, led her down a path towards the creation of Roots Healing.  Born and raised in “the Heights” in NYC, to a Puerto Rican mother and a Dominican father during the peak of the crack era politicized her before she even knew what the word politics meant.

This program is a part of El Museo en Tu Casa, our new bilingual digital initiative encouraging visitors to explore and learn about Latino art and culture. Generously supported by Tony Bechara and the Board of Trustees, the Census 2020, and the NYC COVID-19 Response & Impact Fund.
