A grand symphonic corale concert of Cuban and Spanish music in celebration of International Women’s Day, featuring the all-women’s chorus Voces Blancas del Nalón, winner of several international competitions, including the 2012 First Prize Cum Laude at the prestigious European Festival Musik de Neerpel, in Belgium, and recognized worldwide for its vocal quality and impeccable performances; Spain’s award-winning Orquesta de Cámara de Siero, known for its superb musical eclecticism, conducted by Maestro Manuel Paz, 2009 Latin Grammy nominee; the renowned sax soloist Andreas Prittwitz; and guest soprano Vanessa del Riego. The program will include Cuban and Spanish composers from the classical and contemporary repertoire, including two world premieres. Presented by the Cuban Cultural Center of New York.

This exclusive one-night-only production is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
