Musica de Camara presents music of Nathaniel Dett by Gregory Sheppard. Gregory Sheppard, renowned bass-baritone and teacher of vocal performance, leads an ensemble of eight singers in a program of spirituals by the composer Nathaniel Dett. Dett is known for his use of African-American folk songs and spirituals as the basis for choral and pain compositions in the 19th century Romantic style of Classical music.
