Hola Coquís! El Museo is excited to bring Coquí Club, our bilingual program for our tiniest visitors, into your casita. Coqui Club is a live interactive program facilitated by our museum educators and includes storytelling, discussion, and an art-making project. Be sure to bring your Coqui crowns and get ready to have fun!
Join us for this Saturday session as we celebrate Latinx diversity and read the story Yo Soy Muslim: A Father’s Letter to His Daughter by Mark Gonzalez, an Afro-Mexica Muslim poet and spoken word artist. In the book, as a father gently introduces his daughter to the many facets of her world, he addresses the beauty of Islam and “learning what it means to be human.” Following the book, we will also share an art activity that explores shapes inspired by Islamic patterns.
FREE ADMISSION via Zoom Live | To RSVP, click here.

This program is a part of El Museo en Tu Casa, our bilingual digital initiative encouraging visitors to explore and learn about Latinx art and culture.
