Temkin, Biasiny-Rivera shares details about his childhood growing up in East Harlem and the Bronx, his initial forays into photography, the formation of En Foco, and his experiences taking images in New York City schools as part of the Documentation Portfolio currently on view. The interview was conducted upon the inauguration of El Museo’s current exhibition En Foco: The New York Puerto Rican Experience, 1973-1974, with the support of Bloomberg Connects.
