Join El Museo’s Curatorial Assistant, Sofia Reeser del Rio and former Antonio Lopez student, Alvaro for a private, after-hours tour of our current exhibition ANTONIO LOPEZ: Future Funk Fashion. Alvaro is a world-renowned artist who is recognized for his portraits and illustrations of celebrated musicians, celebrities, supermodels and political satire in the pop culture world. He was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1963 and raised in the Bronx. While studying at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1983, Alvaro met and became the protégé of Antonio Lopez.
Light refreshments will be served at 6:00 pm, immediately followed by a tour from 6:30 to 7:00 pm.
