¡Hola Coquís! Join Coquí Club, our bilingual program specially designed for El Museo del Barrio’s youngest visitors! Led by our museum educators, this interactive experience includes storytelling, gallery exploration, and a hands-on art-making activity. Don’t forget to wear your Coquí crowns and get ready for a morning full of creativity and fun!

This month at El Museo del Barrio we’re celebrating Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with a special holiday edition to remember and honor those we love. We’ll learn about Flaco the owl, a neighbor of El Barrio who lived in Central Park and became a friend to many New Yorkers. To honor Flaco, we’ll make our own alebrijes—bright, magical creatures full of imagination and joy. Then, together we’ll visit the impactful community altar by artist Nitza Tufiño. Come sing, play, and create with us as we celebrate life and memory!

Perfect for children ages 3–5 and their grownups. We invite families to come together on a morning full of art, exploration, and community joy!

This event is FREE but RSVP is required. Please register here >.

Please note that space is limited — if you reserve a spot but can’t attend, please cancel in advance to allow others to participate.

Each child must be registered separately. Recommended for ages 3–5. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
