Join Coquí Club, El Museo del Barrio’s lively bilingual program designed for our youngest visitors! Led by our museum educators, this interactive experience includes storytelling, artwork discussions, and a related hands-on art-making project.
This month, we are celebrating the bold, colorful work of artist Candida Alvarez! Known for her expressive use of colors, shapes, and visual storytelling, Alvarez’s art bursts with energy, culture, and imagination, perfect inspiration for our Coquís.
We will begin with a story time, followed by a visit to El Museo del Barrio’s newest exhibition featuring Alvarez’s dynamic artwork. Then, we will head to the studio to create our own art projects inspired by her vivid and imaginative style.
Join us for a joyful morning of art, exploration, and self-expression!
