El Museo collects information in several ways during your visits to our website. We believe that maintaining the privacy of this information is very important. Some personal information is collected when you sign up to receive our newsletter, request to be added to our mailing list, respond to a survey, become a Member or make a donation. When you contact us we may keep a record of that correspondence. When you make a purchase at our Museum Shop we may keep a record of that transaction as well, and the information that you provided to us in connection with the purchase.

When you purchase an El Museo membership online we ask you to provide the information necessary to process your membership application and to accept your payment. This information includes your name, billing and mailing addresses, telephone number, email address and credit card information. We will use your credit card only as required to process your payment.

When you make an online contribution to El Museo we ask you to provide the information necessary to process your contribution and to accept your payment. This information includes your name, billing and mailing addresses, telephone number, email address and credit card information. We will use your credit card only as required to process your payment.
Online Surveys
El Museo may from time to time invite you to participate in an online survey posted on our website. Your participation in these surveys is completely voluntary and anonymous unless we inform you to the contrary. We use these surveys to better understand our visitors, and to better meet their needs and interests. Personally identifiable information from these surveys is never shared with third parties, although we may share survey results in aggregate, anonymous form.
Email Newsletters and other Email Communications
El Museo from time to time provides email newsletters to its Members and contributors. We also send email announcements of upcoming events, exhibitions and other programs which we believe to be of interest to Members, contributors and other interested parties who have provided their email addresses to us. Email recipients may opt out of such emails by any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided.

When you make a purchase online from the Museum Shop we need to know your name, billing and mailing addresses, telephone number, email address and credit card information. We will use your credit card only as required to process your transaction. We will keep your order information to facilitate customer service, and to properly track your order.

El Museo’s Policy on Disclosure of Information
El Museo does not currently sell, trade or rent the personal information that you provide to us. We may compile and provide aggregate information about our visitors, customers, contributors and their interactions with El Museo to third parties, but these statistics will not include any personal information. We do, however, reserve the right to provide addresses of our users to other arts organizations in order to provide our users with information and promotions that we believe may be of interest to them.
