This site-specific installation recreates in minature the Aztec capital of Tenochtitlan, now Mexico City.
The work displays minature floating gardens, canals, temples, palaces and marketplaces populated by hundreds
of paper cutout figures in 18th Century European dress. This installation is Mondini-Ruiz' first solo presentation in New York.
