ABOUT TECHO
TECHO [TEH/choh], meaning roof in Spanish, is a youth-led non-profit organization present in Latin American and the Caribbean. TECHO seeks to overcome poverty in slums through collaborative work between families living in poverty and youth volunteers.

TECHO is convinced that poverty can be permanently eradicated if society as a whole recognizes poverty as a priority and actively works towards overcoming it. Following a multi-dimensional approach to overturn poverty, TECHO mobilizes youth globally and empowers families living in slums, in order to transform slums into sustainable and organized communities across 19 Latin American countries.
