ABOUT MOON LUNA
MOONA LUNA is the kindie group that the New York Daily News says is providing “the missing soundtrack for bilingual/bicultural kids.” After making a splash on the family music scene with their accordion-driven, Latin-inspired debut album, Piñata Party (2011), which won a Parent’s Choice Award as well as CD of the Year from Creative Child Magazine, Moona Luna delivered something fresh in its sophomore album, Vamos, Let’s Go! (2013), drawing inspiration in American pop hits from the 50’s and 60’s. Staying true to her bilingual mission, Velasquez crafted Spanish and English lyrics for each song. Their third studio album, P A N O R A M A (2016), showcases their Latin roots as well as broader rhythmic influences inspired by the African Diaspora.

ABOUT JOHNNY COLON
Johnny Colon is salsa royalty. Leader of the legendary Johnny Colon Orchestra and founder of the East Harlem Music School, he ascended the throne with his 1967 album, Boogaloo Blues, which popularized a sultry and swinging blend of R&B, soul, and mambo. He continues in his reign at the helm of his band, with soulful singing and smoking stints on percussion, piano, and trombone.
