Jack Agüeros – Then and Now

Join us as we celebrate the life and legacy of Jack Agüeros: community activist, poet, fiction writer, playwright, and former Director of El Museo with a staged reading of his plays Ye Tragical Historie Of Doctor Pedro Albizu Campos and Notary Sojac. Post-performance discussion moderated by award-winning author Claudio Iván Remeseira, featuring Crystal Field, Artistic Director of Theater for the New City, Puerto Rican Soprano Eva de La O, and Nelson A Denis, author of the recently published book, War Against All Puerto Ricans.

Directed by New York City based director Oliver Conant, whose projects include a Spanish Romeo y Julieta in Washington Heights.

Co-sponsored by The Institute of Latin American Studies at Columbia University.
