Member Events
Patrons Circle members are invited to El Museo's most exclusive and intimate private collection viewings, studio visits, international excursions, and many other special events. Past events have included private collection tours at the Hearst executive offices, the Tishman Speyer offices, and private collection viewing in the homes of art-world icons Agnes Gund and Peter Norton. Patrons Circle members have also visited numerous artists' studios, including those of Christo and Jeanne-Claude and Andres Serrano.
In fall 2008, Patrons Circle members travelled to Puerto Rico to attend the exhibition opening of artist Tony Bechara, El Museo's Board Chair, at the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. Members visited several museums and artists' studios, where they enjoyed private guided tours. This year, Patrons Circle members will enjoy a number of special events surrounding El Museo’s historic re-opening, on-going studio visits, international excursions, and much more.
El Museo's Board Secretary, Elizabeth Cooke Levy, serves as Chair of the Patrons Circle, with Vice Chairs Maria Eugenia Maury Arria, Gaily Beinecke, Susana Torruella Leval, and Mayra Hernández.
