In connection with our inaugural exhibition Nexus New York: Latin/American Artists in the Modern Metropolis, The New School will unveil the Orozco Room, which houses José Clemente Orozco's important 1931 mural cycle, A Call for Revolution and Universal Brotherhood, the earliest mural commission by a Mexican modernist in New York.  Panelists Silvia Rocciolo, co-Curator of the New School Art Collection; and James Wechsler, an independent scholar, will highlight the murals’ context, iconography, and legacy. Moderated by Anna Indych-Lopez, Professor of Art History, City College of New York, CUNY.
