Visual Arts

Northern Manhattan Arts Alliance
This exhibition focuses more specifically on local graffiti writers and their newer "canvases," focusing on artists of various generations and their contemporary contributions to street aesthetics. Their art explores the re-use of objects including street signs, cardboard, objects caught in the ocean, and plastic bags. An ephemeral installation extends the exhibition into a park in Northern Manhattan.
