El Museo del Barrio New York

The Peace Poets Collective—five young teaching artists who have taught and performed poetry with young people all over the world—facilitates a weekly interactive and dynamic program for the youth from El Barrio and around the city to create their own safe space and feel como en casa. Through the use of use Spoken Word, Hip Hop, and other artistic means, Peace Poets and young participants create a free and comfortable environment for self expression and community growth.
