8th Annual Coquito Tasting Contest

8th ANNUAL COQUITO TASTING CONTEST

El Museo del Barrio and The International Coquito Federation invites you to participate on this joyous Latino holiday tradition. Come to El Museo, taste the recipes of the winners of the month-long Coquito Master Qualifier Series 2009, and add your vote to the ones casted by this year’s honorary judges Chef Daisy Martinez (Daisy Cooks on PBS), Chemayne Valdez (Culinary Arts at Harlem Children’s Zone), and Henry Comas (East Harlem entrepreneur of Coma’s Concepts).  If you want to taste the best Coquito in town, you must show ID and sign a waiver. First come, first served basis.  
Note:
In order to participate with your recipe in the grand finale, you must have pre-qualified in the Coquito Master Qualifier Series 2009 of Manhattan, Brooklyn, Staten Island or the Bronx.  Only, after winning in your own borough, you can join rival coquito masters here, at El Museo. These are the ten Finalists for the 2010 Coquito Contest, who, after winning the many Qualifiers held all around the city, will compete for Best Coquito at El Museo on December 19.  No other Coquitos will be featured at the Final stage of the contest!
