SUPER SABADO: Target® Free Third Saturdays
El Museo opens its doors for a fun-filled day of art-making, films, concerts, spoken word, and more, as we explore a different theme each month.
Volunteers will provide programming assistance through greeting, workshop support, crowd control and other duties. 20-30 Every third Saturday of the month. El Museo del Barrio Interest in the Latino art and culture. Enthusiasm for working with diverse audiences.

Able to commit to 4hr shift.
           
Three Kings Day Parade
Art-making Workshops
This year El Museo will celebrate 36th Annual Three Kings Day Parade with renowned procession through the streets of El Barrio, a time-honored tradition featuring live music, colorful puppets, camels, sheep, donkeys, dancing, and parrandas.
In preparation, we’ve schedule a series of art-making workshops, where Volunteers will help make maracas and decorate crowns to distribute to the participating children during the parade. 12 per day December 10th-12th 2:00pm-6:30pm; December 17th-19th 2:00pm-6:30pm; January 2nd-3rd 2:00pm-6:30pm El Museo del Barrio, 3rd Floor Taller Enthusiasm and joy to serve El Barrio's community. Outgoing volunteers are especially welcome. Instructions will be provided prior to each workshop. Volunteers do not have to commit to all workshop hours in order to participate. *Volunteers must e-mail volunteers@elmuseo.org in advance to participate.
           
Three Kings Day Parade
Our favorite time of year is upon us! Come and experience the live camels, colorful puppets, parrandas, and dancing on this magical day. The parade route begins at 106th St. and Madison Ave. and ends at 115th St and Park Ave. School groups, community members, local businesses, and families are encouraged to participate. Early registration is strongly suggested.
On the day of the parade, Volunteers will accompany school groups along the route, distribute musical instruments and crowns to parade participants, and hold banners during the parade. 50 January 4th 8:30am-1:00pm (volunteer meeting on January 2, 2012 evening at El Museo, 3rd floor, El Taller) Meet at El Museo del Barrio.The parade route begins at 106th St. and Madison Ave. and ends at 115th St. and Park Ave. Enthusiasm and joy to serve El Barrio's community.
