DIA DE LOS MUERTOS

ABOUT OUR BENEFIT
Día de los Muertos is a traditional Mexican celebration honoring loved ones who have passed away. Based on the belief that life continues after death, the holiday celebrates new beginnings and is now celebrated worldwide. Its most celebrated custom is the building of altars, which are stocked with food, flowers, and special remembrances of departed loved ones. In commemoration, El Museo del Barrio hosts its annual Día de Los Muertos (Day of the Dead) benefit that supports arts education and public programming.

Join us for our annual benefit on October 26, 2017. Stay tuned for details!
